Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom - How to Get the Lightning Helm (Thunder Helm)



Lightning Helm Lightning Helm is Tears of the Kingdom's version of the Thunder Helm, a valuable headpiece rewarded by the Chief of the Gerudo during Breath of the Wild. The Lightning Helm is exactly like its predecessor, offering Link 3 defense and the "Lightning Proof" buff, which makes him immune against Lightning strikes. This Helm, however, was designed by the notorious Yiga Clan and therefore requires some infiltration and a demonstration of skills to obtain. This guide will explain the process of getting the Lightning

How to Get the Lightning Helm (Thunder Helm) in Tears of the Kingdom



Lightning Helm Lightning Helm can be obtained at the Yiga Clan Hideout and the entry point is located inside the Gerudo Desert, located in the exact same spot as it was located in Breath of The Wild. While finding their headquarters is not a difficult task but getting inside is a different tale entirely. To be able to access the Yiga Clan's Hideout, Link will have to become one with his surrounding- that is, that of the Yiga Clan itself.

Once Link gets to the Yiga Clan Hideout, he will meet Mimos who is a second Hylian who's trying to get access to the doors of the hideout, hoping to master the "cool move." In order to allow Link to get into the Yiga Clan Hideout, he'll be able to trick them into allowing him to enter. To accomplish that, Link will need to find all three parts that comprise the Yiga Armor comprising it includes the Yiga MaskYiga Armor, and Yoga Tights. This armor set is required to unlock the Lightning Helm in Tears of the Kingdom, and it requires quite a lot of travel and battle.

Obtaining the Yiga Armor Set in Tears of the Kingdom

The 3 pieces in the Yiga Armor set can be acquired by traveling and fighting in the following places:

  • Yiga Mask The South is located in the Temple of Time Ruins, northwest of Lake Hylia.
  • Yiga Armor: Akkala Ancient Tech Lab, northwest of North Akkala Beach.
  • Yag Tights Underground cave is located in the Aldor Foothills, west of the Great Hyrule Forest.

After Link has acquired and equipped each of the three pieces in the Yiga Armor set, he must return to the Hideout for the Yiga Clan. Once there, the Yiga Clan will open the door for him and allow him in and the next phase of his adventure begins.

Obtaining the Lightning Helm in Tears of the Kingdom



After Link has successfully escaped The Yiga Clan Hideout and escaped, he is free to wander around the area in the event that he wears the entire armor set. This gives him access to exclusive vendors who sell rare items, as well as a quest to gain access to Suariwak Shrine. Suariwak Shrine and the next step is to get an item called the Lightning Helm.

A Yiga Blademaster is standing next to a pedestal that displays the prize of a lifetime which is The Lightning Helm. But should Link would like to get hands-on with this coveted equipment, along with other benefits the Blademaster will require him to meet the Blademaster's test. The Blademaster demands Link to be able to defeat a specified amount of Yiga Footsoldiers within a minute.

There are three levels to the challenge. Each of which pits Link against an increasing number of opponents. To obtain the Lightning Helm, Link must be able to defeat all three levels in this challenge. Yiga Blade master's tasks. Each challenge will cost 100 Rupees therefore it is advised to save up before every challenge and then reload in order to ensure that you don't run out of cash. Three challenges and the rewards are according to the following:

  • Challenge 1:Defeat three enemies in 1 minute. Reward: Yiga Fabric.
  • Challenge 2:Defeat six enemies in just one minute. Reward: Earthquake Manual.
  • Third Challenge: Defeat nine enemies in just one minute. Reward: Lightning Helm.

When Link has won the three Yiga Blade master's challenges, he is able to be awarded his Lightning Helm. The helm can it resistant to Lightning and remove the requirement for wearing the entire Rubber Armor in order to benefit from this advantage.
